Clock&Cloud appoints Salesforce Director Colin Reed as Chief Intelligence Officer

Previously Director of Geopolitics and Strategic Risks at Salesforce, Reed brings expertise from building the intelligence capabilities of both government agencies and a Fortune 500 company. At Clock&Cloud, Reed will focus on producing world-class intelligence and proactive insights for enterprise-wide decisionmaking.

Clock&Cloud has appointed Colin Reed as Chief Intelligence Officer. A former US intelligence officer and most recently Director of Geopolitics and Strategic Risks at Salesforce, Reed brings with him vast expertise from both traditional government intelligence and building and leading the intelligence function of a Fortune 500 company. As Chief Intelligence Officer at Clock&Cloud, Reed will focus on developing the company’s sophisticated analytics methods to deliver actionable insights for businesses.

“Most geopolitical intelligence solutions offer real-time crisis alerts and monitoring, but our goal at Clock&Cloud is to go one step further, turning analyses into business insights. As a pioneer in corporate intelligence, Colin has exactly the right background and skillset to bridge this knowledge gap and ensure that robust geopolitical intelligence also drives tangible business value. We’re thrilled to have him join our growing team,” Clock&Cloud CEO and cofounder Riku Hellgren explains.

Enterprise-wide understanding of geopolitical impacts

Clock&Cloud’s software is intended to be a single-stop workspace for managing geopolitical risks to specific businesses and their unique needs. The platform offers a comprehensive view of geopolitical risks, their likelihood and the potential impacts for companies. Users can track geopolitical events and activities per region, modify the tool to their specific risk profile, and receive proactive updates and risk assessments produced by Clock&Cloud’s team of expert analysts. Companies then use the platform to easily understand the various ways that these events may affect their operations – be it their supply chain, logistics, sales, or research and development. Thus, the platform caters to enterprise-wide decisionmakers, instead of only serving intelligence officers or teams.

“Clock&Cloud’s software is the solution I always wished I had throughout my in-house career in geopolitical intelligence, so I’m really excited to join the team and deliver world-class intelligence built around structured analytics methods. Geopolitical tensions are the new weather of international business, and cannot be ignored or avoided, but must be actively managed. Sectors like automotive, biotech, pharma, and tech face complex supply chain disruptions, market barriers, and increased competition, compounded by tech platform sovereignty issues. Solutions like Clock&Cloud’s platform are becoming a vital part of business operations and strategy for global companies, not just risk monitoring and mitigation,” Reed sums.
